Merry Christmas from The Pantiles

14th December 2021

Next weekend is Christmas Day and seasonal festivities are well underway in and around The Pantiles. From gorgeous gift ideas to tempting treats, be sure to pay the historic street a visit this December.

Open for Business

If you’re yet to get goodies for your nearest and dearest, then don’t fret, The Pantiles’ stores and services will be open until Christmas Eve, adhering closely to Government guidelines to ensure the safety of all customers.

Many of our stores already have sales, offers and discounts available to shoppers – it’s the perfect time to bag a bargain! After Boxing Day, however, you can expect to see even more cut-price finds in our shops. Don’t miss out and be sure to head back to The Pantiles from Monday 27th December onwards.

Please note that individual store opening hours may vary, so check with retailers before visiting to avoid disappointment.

The Pantiles Christmas Market

We will also be hosting our last Christmas market this coming weekend (18th and 19th December). The Pantiles Christmas Market is the ideal way to spend a morning and early afternoon. Featuring a wide variety of local produce, tasty treats, designer clothes and artisan crafts – there is something for everyone. With a host of seasonal themes, guest traders and ever-changing ranges from your favourite regular stalls, there’s no better way to embrace the holiday season in Royal Tunbridge Wells!

2021 in Review

When reflecting on the past year, it is impossible to ignore the continuing impact that the coronavirus pandemic has had on people and businesses. Despite the numerous hurdles, we are immensely proud of the resilience and ingenuity of our stores and services, and their ability to adapt and emerge successfully.

We have experienced an active year, despite the challenges, and were delighted to announce that twice Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar and his newest restaurant Riwaz will be establishing themselves on The Pantiles. The pioneering restaurateur, who hails from East India, will be taking over the former Woods unit. Atul, who appears regularly on TV, is credited with changing the way people perceive and enjoy Indian food in the UK.

Refer to our social media pages and website for further updates as to when the new eatery will be officially opening.

Show-stopping Entertainment

Our ever-popular and award-winning Jazz on The Pantiles sessions continued during the summer and autumn of 2021. To avoid over-crowding and to ensure a controlled environment, the event continued to be reservation only, therefore making it as simple and safe as possible. The spectacular jazz showcased on these wonderful evenings, kept toes tapping and voices singing throughout!

We also welcomed the Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival in October, where a plethora of enchanting plays and street theatre acts performed around the town and beneath The Pantiles’ historic Georgian columns.

2022

The Pantiles is looking forward to the New Year and continuing with the successes seen in 2021. We’re excited about the prospect of new tenants and – depending on circumstances – the continuation of our events programme.

Keep your eyes peeled to our website and social media pages to ensure you’re up to date with all the latest developments.

Targetfollow, managing agents for The Pantiles, say: “2021 has been a very busy year for The Pantiles and we’re delighted as to what has been achieved during a challenging time.
