As we’re regularly told, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. February is National Hot Breakfast Month and is an opportunity to try a variety of sweet and savoury hot delights to get you set for the day ahead.

From the perfect bowl of porridge to a lip-smacking full English, there are plenty of ways to celebrate this month at The Pantiles.

Something Heartier

February is traditionally a chilly month, so what better way to start each day than with a hot breakfast? Whilst you may usually make do with a bowl of cereal or grab a granola bar as you leave the house, why not put aside a little extra time this month and enjoy something heartier?

You may find it surprising how much better you feel during the day if you allow yourself some extra time in the morning to enjoy a more substantial brekkie. It can help you feel more energised, keep you fuller for longer and give you a lot of essential vitamins and proteins.

Hot Breakfast Ideas

If you want to enjoy a hot breakfast at home, there are plenty of healthy hot ideas you can try. Here are just a few of our favourites:

  • Smashed avocado on toast, served with a boiled or poached egg
  • Sour dough toast with peanut butter, bananas and chia seeds
  • Hot oatmeal with caramelised pears and nuts

If making a hot breakfast at home seems too much effort, The Pantiles’ range of restaurants, cafes and eateries are the perfect venues to give hunger the heave-ho first thing in the morning.

Woods Restaurant & Bar

At Woods in The Pantiles, they serve breakfast from 8am until noon. Choices include a full English Breakfast with eggs, bacon, local sausages, oven roasted tomatoes, beans, field mushrooms and toast. They also have a vegetarian breakfast with eggs, halloumi, spinach, oven roasted tomatoes, beans, field mushrooms and toast.

Their vegan option includes tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, avocado, scrambled tofu, toasted sesame seeds, beans and toast.

Other choices on the menu include Eggs Benedict, Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs, Woods’ Open Breakfast Sandwich and Gluten Free Porridge Oats with Coconut Milk.

Framptons Tunbridge Wells

Framptons serve breakfast from 8.30am and have a variety of tasty treats from which to choose. For an indulgent hot breakfast, why not take try their Signature Breakfast? Steak with fried eggs on toast and avocado. A true taste sensation!

Hattons

Hattons serve breakfast Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 11.30am, brunch on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm and 10am to 3pm on Sundays. They focus on quality, seasonality and local suppliers.

The Hattons Classic Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, Kentish sausage, baked field mushrooms, herbed cherry tomatoes and toast. They also offer Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Eggs, Smoked Bacon Sandwich and a Vegan Breakfast. In addition, they bake their own bread each day; varieties include granary and sourdough.

The Pantiles Café

The Pantiles Café brings an east London café vibe to Tunbridge Wells. It serves breakfast from 9.30am to 12.30pm each day. Their House Breakfast includes Speldhurst sausage, smoked streaky bacon, roasted tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, potato hash, beans, soft poached eggs and toast.

Other options on their menu include a Vegan Breakfast with smashed avocado, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, roast butternut squash and spinach with sourdough bread.

The also serve Eggs Benedict, Eggs Royale, Scrambled Eggs and French Toast.
