Small Business Saturday

28th November 2018

On Saturday 1st December we celebrate Small Business Saturday. On the day, the Nation is encouraged to ‘shop small’ and support local business. So, where better to do that than The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells?

In its sixth year, Small Business Saturday is the UK’s most successful small business campaign, which last year saw an estimated £748m spent with small businesses across the UK.

A grassroots, not-for-profit campaign, Small Business Saturday was originally founded by American Express in the US in 2010. American Express remains the principal supporter of the campaign in the UK, as part of its on-going commitment to encourage consumers to shop small.

With a wealth of independently owned boutique stores, The Pantiles is the perfect location to discover unusual, bespoke, handmade and special items. Plenty of goodies just waiting to be stuffed into Christmas stockings!

Small Business Saturday also falls on the same day as our first Christmas Market – meaning twice the selection of goods and a fantastic opportunity to bag the perfect Christmas presents for your nearest and dearest.
