With a mere 11 days until the big day, there’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with The Pantiles! From gorgeous gift ideas to tempting treats, be sure to pay the historic street a visit this December.
Although Kent remains under Tier 3 restrictions, all of our retailers remain open as normal every day until Christmas Eve, adhering closely to Government guidelines to ensure the safety of all customers. This means that you can get everything you need and more for that special time of year!
Please note that individual store opening hours may vary, so check with retailers before visiting to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately, the cafés and restaurants at The Pantiles are open for takeaway only.
We will also be hosting our last Christmas market this coming weekend (19th and 20th December). Be sure to pay our stall holders a visit for some unique crafts and great last-minute gift ideas.
The Pantiles Christmas Market is the ideal way to spend a morning and early afternoon. Featuring a wide variety of local produce, tasty treats, designer clothes and artisan crafts – there is something for everyone. With a host of seasonal themes, guest traders and ever changing ranges from your favourite regular stalls, there’s no better way to embrace the holiday season in Royal Tunbridge Wells!
Despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 lockdowns, we are immensely proud of the resilience and ingenuity of our stores; all of which have managed to adapt and emerge successfully from 2020. Since the end of the first national lockdown, we have experienced an incredibly active six months with fantastic new lettings, including international hairstylist Thomas Taw and local greengrocers Oliver Greens both opening for business.
We were also delighted to welcome The Italian Shop to our venue. From fine Italian wines and liqueurs – to delicious olive oils, vinegars, sauces and pastries; the store sells everything you need to perfect an authentic Italian cuisine!
Our ever-popular and award-winning Jazz on The Pantiles sessions continued in the summer and autumn. With a socially distanced twist, this outdoor dining experience featured seating for up to 500 people.
To avoid over-crowding and ensure a controlled environment, the event was reservation only, therefore making it as simple and safe as possible. The spectacular jazz showcased on these wonderful evenings, kept toes tapping and voices singing throughout!
With vaccinations set to take place in the first half of 2021, everyone at The Pantiles is looking toward the new year with optimism. With an ever-evolving retail mix, we look forward to resuming a vibrant events program – complete with enchanting entertainment, fantastic food festivals and much more!
