A Feast for the Senses

Sankey’s Summer Feastival is sponsored by Sankey’s, and supported by Great British Kitchens and RTW Together, ensuring a top-notch experience for all food lovers. With over 20 stalls featuring diverse cuisines from around the world, there’s something to satisfy every palate.

Indulge in the exotic flavours of Thai and Taiwanese dishes, savour the spices of Caribbean cuisine, bite into juicy burgers and German sausages and treat yourself to Mexican churros, cakes, bakes and pancakes. For those who enjoy a tipple, there will be a selection of spirits, wines and cocktails to enjoy too.

Meet the Culinary Stars

Kenny Tutt

The event will be hosted by none other than Kenny Tutt, the MasterChef champion whose culinary skills and charming personality have won him many fans. Kenny’s journey on the show was marked by his passion for fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and his innovative approach to traditional dishes. Following his win, Kenny opened his own restaurant, Pitch, in his hometown of Worthing. Pitch has quickly become known for its contemporary British cuisine and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Kenny’s down-to-earth personality and culinary expertise have made him a popular figure at food festivals across the UK. At Sankey’s Summer Feastival, he will be sharing his love for great food and cooking.

Atul Kochhar

Joining Kenny Tutt on the bandstand will be Atul Kochhar. Atul is a pioneering figure in Indian cuisine, renowned for being the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin star, which he earned in 2001 while at the helm of Tamarind in London. He later went on to earn a second Michelin star at his own restaurant, Benares.

Atul is celebrated for his innovative approach to Indian cooking, blending traditional techniques with contemporary flavours. He is the owner of Essence on The Pantiles, a restaurant that has become a favourite for its modern and refined Indian dishes. Atul’s cooking is characterised by its depth of flavour and exquisite presentation.

Atul’s demonstrations at the Feastival will provide a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best in the industry.

Calum Harris

Adding to the lineup is Calum Harris. Calum is a popular vegan chef and social media influencer, known for his engaging and accessible plant-based recipes. He has built a large following on Instagram, where he shares vibrant and flavourful vegan dishes that appeal to both vegans and non-vegans alike.

Calum’s approach to vegan cooking emphasises simplicity and taste, making it easy for anyone to incorporate more plant-based meals into their diet. His charisma and enthusiasm for healthy eating have made him a beloved figure in the vegan community.

At Sankey’s Summer Feastival, Calum will demonstrate how delicious and diverse vegan cuisine can be, inspiring attendees to explore plant-based options.

Scott Goss

Scott Goss is the executive chef of the I’ll Be Mother restaurant group. He is renowned for his dedication to Kentish produce and his creation of comforting dishes rich in nostalgic British flavours.

Raised in Kent, Goss was surrounded by fresh, local ingredients from an early age, which deeply influenced his culinary style. His professional journey began at Thanet College and advanced significantly at Gary Rhodes’ City Rhodes in London, where he honed his skills in classical and French cooking techniques.

After gaining extensive experience in London’s fine dining scene, Goss returned to Kent to lead the culinary direction of the I’ll Be Mother group, focusing on seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients to create familiar and comforting dishes​.

Matthew Sankey

Sankey’s is a beloved institution in Tunbridge Wells, renowned for its exceptional seafood and vibrant atmosphere. Owned and operated by Matthew Sankey, the restaurant has built a stellar reputation for offering the freshest seafood, sourced sustainably and prepared with care.

Matthew, a passionate chef and seafood aficionado, will be stepping out of the kitchen to share his culinary skills with Feastival attendees, cooking up delicious dishes and demonstrating why Sankey’s continues to be a favourite on The Pantiles’ dining scene!

Calling All Young Chefs: Showcase Your Culinary Talent!

Do you have a budding chef at home who loves to cook? Sankey’s Summer Feastival is offering an exciting opportunity for young culinary enthusiasts aged 8 to 18 to take the stage and demonstrate their skills alongside some of the best chefs in the business. This is a fantastic chance for aspiring chefs to shine, learn from the pros and share their passion for cooking with a live audience.

For your chance, simply submit a few words about why you love to cook, along with some photos or a short video showcasing your culinary talent. Entries can be submitted via any of The Pantiles’ or Sankey’s social media platforms. Selected participants will be given the opportunity to perform a food demo on stage during the Feastival, with guidance and support from our experienced chefs.

This is a unique and exciting chance for young chefs to gain valuable experience and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.
