Christmas is just around the corner! With this in mind, seasonal festivities are well underway in and around The Pantiles. From gorgeous gift ideas to tempting treats and Christmas markets to carolling, there’s no better place to be on the lead up to the big day.
If you’re yet to get goodies for your nearest and dearest, then don’t fret, The Pantiles’ stores, services and eateries will be open until Christmas Day. Please note that individual store opening hours may vary, so check with retailers before visiting to avoid disappointment. We’ll also be hosting our Christmas markets on 16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th December, so be sure to pay our stall holders a visit for some unique crafts and great last-minute gift ideas.
Many of our stores already have sales, offers and discounts available to shoppers – it’s the perfect time to bag a bargain! After Boxing Day, however, you can expect to see even more cut-price finds in our shops. Don’t miss out and be sure to head back to The Pantiles from Boxing Day onwards.
2023 has been another varied, interesting and positive year for The Pantiles. Our ever-popular and award-winning Jazz on The Pantiles sessions continued to keep toes tapping and voices singing throughout the summer months. We also welcomed Soul Train, regular markets, food festivals, antiques festivals, The Big Reveal and other community events.
Plus, at the end of November, The Pantiles was crowned one of the top ten ‘high streets’ for independent shops in the UK, following research commissioned by American Express Shop Small.
Our venue was ranked third on the prestigious list – which was published by the Retail Times on 23rd November. This was higher than some very well-known tourist traps, including Broadway in the Cotswolds, The Lanes in Brighton and Magdalane Street in Cambridge.
The only two high streets to rank higher than The Pantiles were Victoria Street and West Bow in Edinburgh and the High Street in Stockbridge in Hampshire.
