Top Tips for Summer Sleep

  1. Swap over to a lighter tog duvet for a cooler night’s sleep. Look for one between 4.5 to 7.5 tog for an optimal cool night’s sleep.
  2. During the daytime, use blinds to keep out sunlight out of your bedroom and keep the windows closed if the temperature outside is much hotter than inside. At night time, if the temperature is less outside than inside, open your windows.
  3. Take a hot bath! This may seem counterintuitive, but upon getting out, if your skin temperature is hotter than the room, you’ll experience a drop in body temperature as heat transfers out, which will help you sleep.
  4. Have a glass of iced water by the bed to drink if and when needed.
